Some of living has touched me deeply.

Five decades have been jam-packed with experiences - some joyful, some sad, some satisfying and others requiring every ounce of inner strength and imagination to turn them around.

From early childhood I enjoyed observing other humans and am still fascinated. Looking around, it seems a miracle we made it through conception and into this world, and no small feat to have stayed here in fairly good health for a reasonable length of time.

Although so many have gone before us, it's as though we still travel uncharted territory with inadequate tools - each of us walking a rocky path all our own, and to a large degree ALONE.

We call on experts who do their best, but still for many psychotherapy is either unsuitable or out of reach. As in the pre-psychology era, humans benefit a great deal from bonding with each other, as so beautifully described by Rachel Remen, M.D. in her book "Kitchen Table Wisdom." Our shared stories are an adult form of fairy tales that comfort us in bitter moments.

Someone I met in the United States once said to me, "I envy you women your ability to bond with each other." In fact, there are men around the world able to do the same. But as a woman, I remember sitting in a small kitchen in war time or on a bed in a maternity ward after giving birth - and what did we do? We talked and released feelings, and after a few tears and hugs felt so much better.

When running a marketing design company, many customers - following their business meetings with other staff members - would stop into my office and share thoughts and dilemmas about their business and private lives.

I noticed that no matter how outwardly confident or successful, we all seek partners - often short term - to share our fears, joys and deliberations. It seems we are all so much the same, yet so often alone - even when surrounded by family, friends and colleagues.

In dark moments I discovered some wonderful support stations on the Internet - mostly by chance and was only sorry there was no easy way for me to discover more people I could talk to. That's how this site came about. There are no experts here - just people coming together to share experiences and to give or seek support.

No matter what you face - success and satisfaction, a huge project or a life test - there are others who have walked a similar path.

I'm simply inviting you over for coffee and a chat - to tell you YOU'RE NOT ALONE!
