An artist at heart. Is that you?

OH, YOU SAY...

  • I have such a burning need to express.
  • Looking at a painting I smile.
  • I listen to music and my soul soars.
  • I watch modern dance, and am up there on the stage.
  • I mix plaster, oil and paint - and the palette knife already applies a gooey, meaningful mixture.
  • I write in order to place pictures and feelings on paper...
  • I've so much to say.
  • I have so many ideas, which would make my workplace more efficient and pleasant.
  • I love imagining possibilities for developing my business.

But at the same time, I look in galleries and get cold feet.

  • Could I ever do that?
  • I'm not good enough and my work's not as meaningful as those acclaimed 'Moderns.'
  • I don't have connections... or is it really only an issue of talent?
  • Yet, when I see a Rembrandt, a Picasso, a De Kooning, even Francis Bacon, my innards come to life and I have this silent conversation with the artist - who lived on another continent, in another era and spoke another language. We're brothers and understand each other well…

OR
I watch business people and wonder what makes them tick, identify with those who take creative risk and envy them their courage.

You're not alone
There are people placed in this world to show others spirit and meaning… there are those with a NEED to put down on paper, what they know to be true. There are people who bring a creative flair to an otherwise gray profession.

Many feel this way. They think they're not worthy to join the ranks of history's celebrated artists, but do have an extra perception, and the gift of expression.

CREATIVE MINDS IN ALL WALKS OF LIFE
Among scientists there arethose who look beyond the limits of scientific thinking and let their imaginations fly. Others are "calculating" business people, politicians, entrepreneurs… The list is endless. One thing's sure: Most artists and creative people were, and are, ordinary citizens, living and suffering like all humans... and can benefit from human contact.

If you see yourself expressed in these lines, search for others like you. Encourage and feed each other, and continue to make the world a richer place.
