Facing fate

Drawing on inner strength

  • Is this a situation you always dreaded?
  • Are you suffering a loss so painful that your body's screaming?
  • Is your back up against the wall and are you dealing with the demons all alone?
  • Have you lost a loved one and cannot reconcile that loss?
  • Has your child been hurt, leaving shattered pieces in your hand, which you must put together in order to reconstruct what was perfection?
  • Have you lost a spouse or parent or child?
  • Is your heart broken with an important relationship in tatters?
  • Has your body betrayed you and made you realize a questionmark will always hang above your head?
  • Have you lost your zest for life? Does the morning just tie you tighter to the bed? Do you feel sicker than you had ever imagined possible? Has depression switched off the noon sun and made it seem as though the world is running on a separate track?

Facing fate head-on we start out believing we'll not make it this time, only to slowly realize there's a pool of inner strength somewhere deep inside. At the lowest point we sometimes meet full blown searing pain for the first time, but also discover joy and laughter - pure and undiluted.

Sharing
Lots of people have been through some tough lessons and have experiences to share.

They learned that much of the outcome depended on their attitudes and decisions from the first moment. Above all, they had to decide whether this would remain a tragedy or turn into triumph. A man once said, "Before my experience, I'd have had trouble believing such statements and theories, but today I know they work."

Please give us your hand
Don't shut yourself up in sorrow and fear. Reach out to people who can help you - and in turn become a support to those who need you too.

"Before my experience, I'd have had trouble believing such statements and theories, but
today I know
they work."
